High-action gameplay, varied game modes
In S.K.I.L.L.- Special Force 2, players enter into battlefields of intensive and high-octane multiplayer action as elite members of world-recognised special units, playing across a wide range of game modes. Alongside classics such as deathmatch and team deathmatch, there is ‘Seizure’, where one team has to do everything they can to get to secret information in the other team’s camp whilst they naturally try to prevent this mission. In the ‘Survival’ game mode, the challenge is much more supernatural: here players can face wave upon wave of evil aliens in groups of up to 4 or by themselves. The latter also plays a significant role in the ‘Party’ mode: in classic team deathmatch manner, one team takes on the skills of the humans whilst the second team slips into the skins of extra-terrestrial invaders. They then have three unique classes to choose from: the ripper, the stunner and the libertine.
In order to be equipped for every situation, the players also receive access to an extensive arsenal of weaponry. The primary weapons are separated into the categories of rifle, sniper, MG and SMG and are available in many different finishes – for example with sights or silencers. The character can also be customized using equipment such as helmets, boots and bandoleers according to your own preferences.
Useful and innovative: the in-game clan feature
A central element of the game is the in-game clan feature, with which players can organise and manage their clan directly in the game. The customisable clan page offers the possibilities of clan administration, an application system for potential recruits, internal clan rankings and a clan chat, amongst other things.
Deeply atmospheric thanks to Unreal 3 and professional sound design
S.K.I.L.L. (Secret Kommando: Infiltrate. Liquidate. Liberate.) - Special Force 2 is built on the Unreal 3 engine and additionally offers a realistic sound backdrop: the weapon sounds have been recorded and prepared especially for the game by professional sound designers with Hollywood experience. Development studio Dragonfly’s title – known in Korea under the moniker of Special Force 2 – has been running very successfully in Korea and is one of the most popular shooters in the local e-sports scene. Alongside German and English, the title will appear in further languages, including Spanish, French and Russian.

The free-to-play version of the fantasy MMO TERA has launched successfully: Over half a million new users have registered for the game since the move to free-to-play, which brings the total number of players registered for TERA: Rising up to over one million. The game’s operator Gameforge opened six new game servers just a few days after the free-to-play launch in order to meet the high demand.
Since the introduction of the free-to-play version, TERA players have created around 1.5 million characters with which they can experience adventures in the world of Arborea. The battle-ready Castanics are the most popular race, with the Humans and High Elves nipping at their heels, while the Warrior enjoys the greatest popularity among the classes, followed by the Sorcerer and the Archer.
With the move to free-to-play, the world of Arborea was expanded by the Crucible of Flame dungeon and a 3-v-3 arena called the Champions' Skyring. In the future, regular content updates for TERA: Rising will keep on coming. The next such update, which will be released within the course of this year, will add a new feature to TERA’s political system: Players who belong to a guild will be able to enter into an alliance and vie for supremacy against other alliances on their server.

TERA is now available to everyone for free! The switch to the free-to-play model is complete. We also applied a brand new content patch, including a lot of changes as well as a new dungeon and the 3vs3 arena, complete with ranked matches and fantastic rewards.
All newcomers should start by downloading our client and create a free account. While you download the client, you can go and check out our patch notes for TERA: Rising and the guides section on our website as a preparation.
In case you're interested in the different account types and the benefits you get as a TERA club member, you should visit our comparison chart page, which includes all important details. By becoming a TERA club member you'll benefit from a lot of helpful items, receive a mount and you'll be able to enter Dungeons twice as of often. This only marks a small part of the advantages of becoming a club member for TERA.
Everyone who bought the full version will automatically become a veteran user. This includes eight character slots, more bank tabs, a unique title and priority access to our game servers.

The Free-to-Play launch launch for TERA will be on Tuesday, the 5th of February 2013.
TERA’s free-to-play model will include two standard account types: the Free User and the Veteran. Free Users receive full access to the entire game content – this includes, for example, the races, classes, instances, equipment items or players-versus-player content. Veteran status is reserved for players who purchased TERA before the switch to free-to-play and offers advantages that Free Users do not receive. Everyone has access to the TERA Club: amongst other things, players receive a special mount, a daily selection of boosts as well as different types of scrolls here. These can, for example, increase experience points and the amount of gold gained or can summon merchants, crystal merchants or the banker. The monthly subscription fee of 12.95 euro for the TERA Club, is the same price as the previous subscription. If you subscribe to a 3-month membership, the fee is reduced to 11.65 euro and 12 months reduces it to 9.99 euro a month.
The item shop
Aside from the aforementioned boost items, the shop will include recovery, mana and stamina potions for character development. Service items are also available for purchase, with which players can change the name or appearance of their hero. In future, the shop will continue to be filled with exclusive mounts, weapon skins and clothing.
TERA: New content update with F2P launch
On Tuesday we’ll also have a new content update live on our game servers. This new version is called TERA: Rising and brings you a lot of changes and additions. We would like to especially point out the new 3vs3 arena and a new dungeon. We have more details on both in our patch preview article.
We’ll release the patch notes along the F2P launch on Tuesday, 5th of February 2013.
Preview: Alliance System
2013 will bring a lot of exciting new content to TERA and one of those major updates will be the Alliance System. This system is currently still under development, but it will revolutionize the political system which is currently in TERA. Three alliances will fight for power in the world of Arborea.
